May 1994 – September 1994 (5 months) | London, United Kingdom
Employer | Andrew Palmer & Associates, a division of SAIC S&E
During this period with Andrew Palmer & Associates, I was responsible for projects including the development of mathematical models to access the denting damage to a 24-inch main gas pipeline caused during anchor snagging. I also determined, using ANSYS, a finite element software package, the forces, moments and optimum support locations during the launch of a 2.623 m diameter concrete coated pipeline, 2.9 km long, carrying 15No. 1.8 m diameter diffusers. This design also involved trenching the outfall under the main gas pipeline 1.14 km offshore.
Clients included Marathon Petroleum (Ireland) Ltd., and EMMSSA (Spain).
