As part of the qualification for becoming a Chartered Engineer (CEng) the candidates undergo an interview. As chair of the interview panel, the activities include:

1. Review of the candidate’s report
2. Facilitating the interview process
3. Co-ordinating the grades from the interview panel members and preparing the interview report and recommendations for submission to the Board of Examiners at Engineers Ireland for consideration.
