Within this role Mr Tuohy assessed business opportunities in Canada, establishing a presence and developing a contact base for future business. This involved several visits to Canada, integrating with other Halliburton business units, sharing marketing information, establishing new contacts and making presentations to potential customers. Working with Newfoundland Oceans Industry Association and Memorial University to set the foundation for training development programs as a conduit for knowledge transfer to local resources. During this period Mr. Tuohy provided training in-house to some of the oil company engineers and also made a number of presentations to industry forums.
